The fire is lit and the grills are ready! On Sunday, November 16th, join us at BBQs Direct for a massive day of BBQ competition, flavour, and fun at our Car Park Cookoff.

This isn’t just any BBQ battle – this one day BBQ Showdown is the real deal, featuring sanctioned events from both the NZ Steak Cookoff Association (SCA) and the Rib Cookoff Association of NZ (RCOA).

On the Menu – Competition Lineup:

1 x SCA Steak Cookoffs – sizzling steaks cooked to perfection
2 x SCA Ancillary Challenges – creative BBQ dishes beyond the steak
RCOA Rib Cookoff – tender, smoky ribs that fall off the bone
RCOA Chicken Wing Challenge – the ultimate test of flavour and fire

What to Expect:

NZ’s best grill masters going head-to-head
The smokey aroma of world-class BBQ filling the air
Great vibes, expert tips, and plenty of fun for BBQ lovers and families

Bragging Rights & Big Cash Prizes:
Competitors will battle it out for championship titles, trophies, cash with the ultimate prize being a "golden ticket" to the 2026 World Championships in the USA
